Renee Smith-FaulknerDear Parents and Community Members,

Welcome Back to another exciting school year at Castleberry Independent School District!
We are thrilled to have our students and families back on campus, ready to embark on a new journey of learning and growth. As we begin this academic year, we want to share with you how Castleberry ISD is “Leading the Way”  in various areas to provide an exceptional education for our students.

First and foremost, our commitment to innovation extends beyond the curriculum. Castleberry ISD’s facilities are equipped with cutting-edge technology, creating an environment that fosters learning innovation for our students. We believe that providing access to the latest tools and resources enhances the educational experience and prepares our students for success in the digital age.

In today’s world, computer science skills are more important than ever. That’s why we have integrated coding into our elementary curriculum offerings. All students have the opportunity to learn these essential skills, fostering their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and logical thinking from an early age.

At Castleberry ISD’s Joy James Academy of Leadership, we are committed to nurturing leadership skills in our students. Based on the renowned “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R. Covey, our Leader in Me School, empowers students to become proactive, goal-oriented, and effective leaders.

Castleberry ISD also takes great pride in our exceptional Fine Arts programs. We are honored to be recognized as one of the Best Communities in the Nation for Music Education. Our dedicated teachers provide students with a rich and diverse artistic experience, fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

We are proud that the Castleberry ISD’s STEM Academy @ River District located at Irma Marsh Middle School continues to increase enrollment. This innovative program starts in 6th grade and focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

For our high school students, Castleberry ISD offers a multitude of advanced learning opportunities. Students may choose to participate in 10 OnRamps courses,  several Tarrant County College dual credit courses, and 9 Advanced Placement courses. This rigorous curriculum empowers our students to earn up to 60 college credit hours, giving them a head start on their higher education journey.

We are proud to be a member of the League of Innovative Schools, a national forward-thinking coalition. Through this partnership, we collaborate with other districts to share best practices, implement innovative approaches, and stay at the forefront of educational advancements.

As we embark on this new school year, we invite you to join us in “Leading the Way” towards excellence in education. Together, we can create a nurturing, innovative, and inclusive environment that prepares our students for a bright and successful future. We value your partnership and look forward to working hand-in-hand to provide the best educational experience for every child in our district.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,
Renee Smith-Faulkner
Superintendent of Castleberry Independent School District
