Class of 2023 Graduation Information

Castleberry High School and REACH High School will hold their graduation commencement at the MacGorman Chapel and Performing Arts Center located on the campus of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, on Friday, May 26, at 7:30 PM. Castleberry ISD extends its congratulations to the class of 2023 parents, as this day marks a significant milestone for families. To ensure a smooth and successful ceremony, please review the information below.

Tickets

Tickets are not required for the ceremony and there is no limit to the number of guests per graduate.

Each Top Ten senior will receive 10 tickets for a reserved seating section. 

Schedule

4:00 PM - Graduates arrive

4:30 PM - Rehearsal for graduates and faculty

6:30 PM - Doors Open

7:30 PM - Ceremony Begins

The graduation ceremony will be streamed on Castleberry ISD's YouTube Channel. Please share the link with relatives who are unable to attend.


Expectations for Graduates

Dress Code Requirements

The dress code requirements stated below are applicable to both the awards ceremony and graduation commencement. Graduates who fail to adhere to these requirements will not be permitted to participate in the commencement ceremony.

Men: White collared, long-sleeve dress shirt with tie, dark slacks, and dress shoes with the cap and gown.

Ladies: School appropriate dress or slacks and blouse with the cap and gown. Ladies please be cautious if wearing heels because there will be a lot of walking.

Additional Dress Code Information

  • No flip flops or athletic shoes will be permitted.

  • No alterations to the cap and gown will be allowed.

  • No unnatural hair colors, facial piercings, or visible tattoos.

The Following Items Should Not Be Brought Inside the Venue

  • Food and beverages are not permitted inside the venue.

  • Graduates should not bring purses, cameras, cell phones, headphones, earbuds, or any other personal belongings into the venue. These items should either be left at home or stored securely and out of sight in their vehicle.

  • Should a graduate choose to bring a cell phone inside the venue, please be aware that staff will collect and store items in a secure area for the duration of the ceremony.

  • To ensure student safety and compliance with the above-stated requirements, faculty members will conduct thorough checks of graduates' pockets, purses, gowns, and hats.

After the Ceremony

Graduates will return to the back stage area of the venue before being released to the parking lot to connect with family and friends.

Graduates are expected to leave the venue premises promptly once dismissed.


Attendee Information

Parking

Parking is available at no cost and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Please do not park in areas marked off with cones as these are reserved for the Board of Education.

About the Venue

  • Flower sales and concessions are not available.

  • Food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are not permitted.
    Smoking and/or vaping are prohibited.

  • Celebratory items including flowers, balloons, noise makers, small and large signs are not permitted inside the venue. Please leave these items in your vehicle and present them to your graduate in the parking lot after the ceremony.

  • To ensure the safety and security of everyone, bags will be inspected at the entrance by security personnel.

Restricted Items:

  • RVs, motorhomes, busses, limos, and any oversized vehicle

  • Grills, smokers, and tailgating of any kind

  • Balloons, noisemakers, posters, beach balls, silly string, bubbles, glitter, and frisbees

  • Confetti and confetti cannons

  • Non-service animals

  • Weapons of any kind

  • Laser pointers

  • Drones

  • Tripods/Selfie Sticks

  • Alcohol

  • Flowers (flowers should be kept in the car and presented to graduates at the conclusion of the ceremony in the parking lot)

Conclusion of the Ceremony

To prevent overcrowding in the aisles, please remain seated until the last graduate has exited the stage.

Once all graduates have left the auditorium, all family members and guests are requested to promptly exit the premises.
