Class of 2022 Graduation Information

Graduation commencement for Castleberry High School and REACH High School will be held at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 7:30 PM. This is a momentous occasion for families, and Castleberry ISD would like to congratulate parents on this important accomplishment. Below is important information for graduates and ceremony attendees to be aware of.

Tickets

Tickets are not required for this year’s graduation.

There is no limit to the number of guests per graduate.

Students graduating in the top 10 of the class will receive 10 tickets each to distribute to family and friends for a reserved section.

COVID-19 Protocol

All Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted.

Expectations for Graduates

Attire Expectations

All graduating seniors are required to wear the cap and gown senior regalia. 

Men: White collared shirt with tie, dark slacks, and dress shoes (no jeans)

Ladies: Dresses or slacks and a top that are school appropriate (no jeans). Ladies please be cautious of wearing heels because there will be a lot of walking.

The following dress will not be allowed for graduates:

  • No flip flops or athletic shoes may be worn.
  • No alterations to the cap and gown will be allowed.
  • No facial piercings.
  • No unnatural hair color.
  • Cell phones will not be permitted during the ceremony.

Graduates who do not follow the dress code will not walk.

Graduates - Do not bring the following:

  • Food or beverages- eat before arriving
  • No cell phones, headphones, or earbuds
  • Leave purses, cameras, cell phones, and other personal belongings at home or in car (hidden and out of sight).
  • Anything that could be used to detract from the ceremony in any way.
  • Faculty will collect cell phones before the ceremony and hold them until after the ceremony.
  • Faculty will be checking pockets and purses; gowns/hats.

After the Ceremony

  • Graduates will recess to the back stage holding areas of the venue before being released to the parking lot to see family and friends.
  • Graduates are expected to leave the premises at the conclusion of the ceremony.
  • Family and guests are expected to leave the premises at the conclusion of the ceremony.
  • Ensure all trash is taken with you.
  • Parents and guests should not exit the ceremony until the last graduate has exited the stage. This prevents overcrowding in the hallways of the venue.

Attendee Information

Parking

Parking is free and first come first serve. There will be reserved parking spots blocked off with cones for the board of education.

Live Streaming Information

The graduation ceremony will be streamed on Castleberry ISD's YouTube Channel.

Concessions and Flower Sales

  • There will not be flower sales on site.
  • Flowers should be kept in the car and presented to graduates at the conclusion of the ceremony in the parking lot.
  • Concession stands will not be available.
  • Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted.
  • Alcohol is not permitted.
  • Restrooms are available on-site. 

Restricted Items:

  • RVs, motorhomes, busses, limos, and any oversized vehicle
  • Grills, smokers, and tailgating of any kind
  • Balloons, noisemakers, posters, beach balls, silly string, bubbles, glitter, and frisbees
  • Confetti and confetti cannons
  • Non-service animals
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Laser pointers
  • Drones
  • Tripods/Selfie Sticks
  • Alcohol
  • Flowers (flowers should be kept in the car and presented to graduates at the conclusion of the ceremony in the parking lot)
