Welcome Haley Reynolds RLA Instructional Coach

Castleberry ISD welcomes Haley Reynolds as the district’s new RLA Instructional Coach. Reynolds joins Castleberry ISD from Fort Worth ISD where she served as a secondary English Language Arts teacher and department leader for the past three years. She started her career in education 10 years ago in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD where she was first an English teacher at the high school level and later an English teacher and AVID site coordinator at the middle school level.

Reynolds completed her undergraduate program at the University of North Texas where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Arts with a minor in education. She obtained her teaching certification in English Language Arts and Reading for grades 4-8 and 8-12, as well as her English as a Second Language supplemental certificate for grades 4-12. In 2020, she attended the University of Texas at Arlington and obtained her Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.

Having recently completed her principal preparation program with UTA, and her administrative internship with her previous campus in FWISD, she is currently in the final phase of the UTA partnership to obtain her principal certification. During her time as the department leader in Fort Worth, she led PLCs and coached other English teachers. She also had the opportunity to teach at a bilingual school in Siguatepeque, Honduras in 2019, which sparked her interest in ESL and bilingual education. Bilingual herself, one of her passions is designing a quality curriculum for English language learners. As a former AVID site coordinator in GCISD, Mrs. Reynolds led professional developments and helped develop systems to bring AVID schoolwide at her campus. She has also had the opportunity to write curriculum documents and train new ELA teachers in implementing the curriculum in the past.

Reynolds has been married for two years to her husband, Nick, who is a paratrooper in the Army. They recently welcomed a new addition to their family, their first child, Daniel, who is five months old. They live in Fort Worth together with their two dogs and attend Grace Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, being a mom, helping with the youth group at her church, and spending time with her family.

Reynolds is excited for the opportunity to bring her passion for education and wide variety of experiences to Castleberry ISD. She truly believes the classroom is where the magic happens and that teachers develop that love of learning in students on a daily basis. Her goal is to support teachers with resources, tools, and strategies to be successful and continue to grow in their craft to help all students succeed. She would like to thank the Board for the opportunity to serve Castleberry ISD students and teachers.
